Author: Richard Silkes

CPE Credit:  1 hour for CPAs

In today's fast-paced environment, successful firms create highly-effective project and engagement teams.
The challenges of leading successful teams are many and include aligning the team around a shared goal, managing differing perspectives and work styles, and identifying team member roles and responsibilities.

This program provides all team members and team leaders the opportunity to step back and think about what it takes to create a highly effective team and how to apply those ideas to current teams on-the-job.

This program starts by considering the characteristics of high-performing teams and introduces the GRPI high-performing team model (based on the work of Rubin, Plovnick and Fry). The GRPI model consists of four elements that must be attended to for maximum team performance: Goals, Roles, Processes and Interpersonal Relationships. Each element is reviewed and applied to real-life examples and situations. This interactive webinar also introduces the phases of team performance, typical dysfunctions of teams and how to overcome barriers to team effectiveness. The program concludes with tips for team leaders including how to leverage diverse styles and abilities, develop a collaborative team-leading approach, and build trust.
