Form 1040NR, FATCA and Other International Tax Issues (Currently Unavailable)

These courses will help you guide your clients on all issues related to internaional tax. Determine if an individual is a U.S. tax resident, by tax code and treaty criteria (and what form an individual should file, Form 1040NR or 1040). You'll also review the Foreign Accounts Tax Compliance Act (FATCA) which focuses on foreign financial assets of US Citizens that are not being properly reported and taxed.

FATCA was enacted by Congress in 2010 as part of the HIRE Act. It attempts to restore tax fairness by focusing on foreign financial assets of US Citizens that are not being properly reported and taxed.
Nonresident alien clients who have U.S. source income will need your assistance filing Form 1040NR, U.S. Nonresident Alien Income Tax Return, a form with numerous complex requirements that demands careful analysis of the taxpayer's circumstances.
