Annette Nellen

Annette Nellen, CPA, CGMA, Esq., is a professor in and director of the Masters of Science in Taxation program at San Jose State University. She teaches graduate-level tax courses on tax research, property transactions, tax accounting, ethics, employment tax, and tax policy.

Professor Nellen is a frequent speaker and author on tax law developments, state taxation, new economy tax issues, and tax policy and reform topics. She is the author of BNA Portfolio (#533), Amortization of Intangibles. She is a monthly contributing author for the AICPA Tax Insider and Tax Analyst’s State Tax Notes. She serves on the AICPA Tax Executive Committee and Tax Reform Task Force. She is also an active member of the California CPA Society and ABA and California Bar Taxation Sections. She has testified before congressional and state tax committees on tax reform.
